Online learning services available to IMCA members will be of significant benefit in consultancy CPD and operating support terms. Two of these are specific to IMCA:
Harvard ManageMentor, accessing the online learning services of Harvard Business School, is available to IMCA members at favourable rates. It includes learning modules on management topics (44) with a mix of reading material, tools, templates, audio files / videos and exercises on each. The content is of a high standard and provides a valuable support to member professional development; training can be validated for CPD Log purposes.
Global CMC www.globalcmc.com provides a range of free and premium services to CMCs and is likely to become the key interface to leverage international ICMCI links.
- The free CMC Open Forum provides articles, a Body of Knowledge and Consulting Tools (all under development) as well as links to an extensive range of external publications and to resources such as 12Manage (management methods / models).
- The CMC Toolkit premium services comprise consultant / client matchmaking, virtual Boardroom and knowledge resource business tools.
- The E-Learning module being developed aims to equip consultants with the latest knowledge and skills using the concepts of Blended Learning.

Free online support services available generally include:
- Case study and simulation exercise course materials from MIT’s Sloan Business School at <http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/sloan-school-of-management/.
- The recently announced MITx initiative to make MIT courses and learning tools freely available online is likely to be a significant development - see http://web.mit.edu/newsoffice/2011/mitx-education-initiative-1219.html.
- White papers on a range of technology, business and industry topics at www.whitepapers.org (zip code required to download but any will do).
